Can You Digg It?

Do you know about Digg? Digg is not only one of the most popular websites on the entire internet, but it also can be a phenomenal promotional method for your business, product or website. Nothing in life comes free though, but the only payment you must provide in order to take advantage of the powers of Digg is some good old fashioned work. You can't just instantly promote something to the masses with success, you have to immerse yourself in the community and provide content that people are truly seeking out.

How does Digg work?

The way Digg works is that people submit links to specific articles or pages of content on various websites. The user who submits the link provides a description of the page, and places the link in a matching category. When other people see the article, they can "Digg" it, which essentially means they like the content and they are voting for it and approving it. The more people that Digg an article, the more visibility the article gets on the site.

So with just 1 Digg (the starting point for any submitted article), your article will fall in with the masses and be hard to find. But with each Digg you acquire, the more attention your content will receive and the more fans of your work you will find. In this way, Digg can be a great way to spread the word about a product or idea and increase traffic towards a blog or website.
